Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy applies to all services provided by Discover Bergen, including guided walking tours,
electric bike tours, ATV/quad experiences, RIB tours, yacht charters, and electric boat excursions.
By booking a service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Standard Cancellation
Deadline: 48 hours
All cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the activity.
• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the activity will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made fewer than 48 hours before the activity are non-refundable.
• Failure to attend (“no-show”) results in no refund.
No exceptions are made for illness, travel delays, missed transport connections, personal schedule conflicts, or
weather conditions that do not impact the safe operation of the activity.
2. Modifications & Rebooking
Requests to change, modify, or rebook an activity are treated the same as cancellations:
• Modifications requested 48 hours in advance may be accepted without fee, subject to availability.
• Modifications requested within 48 hours of the activity are not permitted and will be considered a cancellation with no refund.
3. Private Charters (Yacht, RIB, Electric Boat)
Private charters follow the same rules:
• 48 hours in advance: full refund
• Less than 48 hours: non-refundable
• Changes within 48 hours are not possible due to vessel scheduling, fuel planning, and crew commitment.
4. Weather Conditions
Norwegian weather can change rapidly. We operate in a maritime environment where conditions may influence
routes, duration, or comfort.
• Activities proceed in most weather conditions, including light rain, wind, or cold temperatures.
• Refunds are not issued due to weather unless Discover Bergen determines the activity cannot be
conducted safely.
• If weather forces us to modify the route, shorten the activity, or adjust timing, this does not qualify for compensation or refund. Weather-related cancellation is solely at the discretion of Discover Bergen.
5. Cancellations by Discover Bergen
If Discover Bergen must cancel an activity due to:
• Severe weather
• Mechanical issues
• Safety considerations
• Staff illness
• Operational limitations
• Government restrictions
…you will receive:
• A full refund, or
• The option to rebook to another available date
This is the only scenario where refunds are guaranteed within the 48 hour window. Discover Bergen is not responsible for additional costs, including accommodation, travel, or indirect losses.
6. Late Arrivals
Activities begin promptly at the scheduled time.
• Participants who arrive late may be denied participation.
• Late arrival is considered a no-show and is non-refundable.
This includes delays due to taxi issues, traffic, public transport, cruise ship tendering, or lost directions.
7. Group Bookings
For groups of 8 participants or more, the 48 hour cancellation rule applies to the entire booking, unless otherwise
stated in a written group contract.
